Marq Up training was founded in 2019, with the idea that people train best where they are comfortable and secure. I do training sessions in your home, on the field, in the park, and I have partnered with Freemont Health Club for those that need a dedicated gym space.
I spent 12 years working in a sedentary office job before becoming a personal trainer. So I know what its like to struggle with work-life balance and keeping healthy and fit because of time sitting and stress and mental fatigue.
I was a competitive figure skater growing up, and I have volunteered and occasionally worked for Reign FC in various capacities since 2016. I currently also work part-time as a goalkeeper and soccer coach with SeaTown FC Soccer Academy and as a Strength and Conditioning coach with Issaquah Swim team. I have done functional fitness training with clients as old as 84 and sports performance training with clients as young as 5, and everyone in between. Before and early on in the pandemic I worked for Girl Boss Sports as a soccer and goalkeeper trainer doing private lessons, fall training for Seattle Youth Soccer, and heading up the GBS strength training program.
I have learned from the best in soccer from training with professional soccer players and goalkeepers to a mentorship with international level and FIFA contracted performance coach Ivi Casagrade.
Ultimately any training experience from soccer to yoga, to personal training is meant to be Personal. It is a unique experience and a personal trust and bond between trainer and client. So when you train with me, you train with me, not a brand, not a social media performance.
Marq Up Training is all body inclusive, Woman owned, LGBTQ+ affirming and welcoming. Neurodivergent accommodating.
I myself have ADHD, and I have taken additional courses through the Scottish FA to be more aware and create a better coaching environment for my fellow neurodivergent clients.
I offer sliding scale for economically inclusive training for those that need it!
