Marq Up training is all about community building!
Not everyone has room in their home to have a training session, and sometimes the weather is awful!
That is one reason we have recently teamed up and are now able to offer in gym personal training at Freemont Health Club, even if you are not a member! The price of a personal training session with me at FHC ranges between $100- $120 / training session with the option to stay after the session and enjoy the health club.
I also offer Strength Training For soccer camps and group training classes for figure skaters, runners, basketball, swimming and more! Costs depend on group size and location.
Marq Up training was founded in 2019, with the idea that people train best where they are comfortable and secure. I do training sessions in your home, on the field, in the park, and I have partnered with Freemont Health Club for those that need a dedicated gym space.
I spent 12 years working in a sedentary office job before becoming a personal trainer. So I know what its like to struggle with work-life balance and keeping healthy and fit because of time sitting and stress and mental fatigue.
I was a competitive figure skater growing up, and I have volunteered and occasionally worked for Reign FC in various capacities since 2019. I currently also work part-time as a goalkeeper and soccer coach with SeaTown FC Soccer Academy and as a Strength and Conditioning coach with Issaquah Swim team. I have done functional fitness training with clients as old as 84 and sports performance training with clients as young as 5, and everyone in between. Before and early on in the pandemic I worked for Girl Boss Sports as a soccer and goalkeeper trainer doing private lessons, fall training for Seattle Youth Soccer, and heading up the GBS strength training program.
I have learned from the best in soccer from training with professional soccer players and goalkeepers to a mentorship with international level and FIFA contracted performance coach Ivi Casagrade.
Ultimately any training experience from soccer to yoga, to personal training is meant to be Personal. It is a unique experience and a personal trust and bond between trainer and client. So when you train with me, you train with me, not a brand, not a social media performance.
Marq Up Training is all body inclusive, Woman owned, LGBTQ+ affirming and welcoming. Neurodivergent accommodating.
I myself have ADHD, and I have taken additional courses through the Scottish FA to be more aware and create a better coaching environment for my fellow neurodivergent clients.
I offer sliding scale for economically inclusive training for those that need it!
10-Minitue Yoga came about as I was doing personal training for a Dr. doing her residency. It was a solution to a time crunch that I realized everyone could use! Even me! when you have a busy schedule, or ADHD that hates starting doing something like yoga, fitting in just 10 mins each day, or tricking yourself into doing it at all because "its just 10 mins. " is sometimes the answer!
Athlete plus was my attempt to make yoga somethings I like more. I am not a traditional lover of yoga or stillness. I have learned, but it took some doing. I wanted to come up with a hybrid that mixed my strength and conditioning knowledge with my yoga knowledge plus my sports knowledge. Athlete+ was the result. Its sport and position specific movements to enhance mobility, build strength, power or help you warm up, recover, or prepare for game day.
In December 2023 I teamed up with Josh Clendenin Yoga to offer our first yoga retreat in Utah. It was a wonderful experience that built friendships and expanded all of our knowledge and horizons. We are looking for venues in Central America for our next event. If you are interested click YOGA RETREATs below to stay informed of our next retreat and sign ups!
I am also hoping to organize a Bring your own board beginners Paddle board yoga class next summer! Let me know if you are interested!
I am trained for more conventional methods of yoga, if that is your cup of tea. I offer Restorative, Yin, Hatha, Vinyassa, Mindful Movement, Meditation, Chair yoga, and Reiki as well. All (except reiki) are on the monthly yoga pass, and all options are available with a private yoga booking.
*curated monthly pass may not include every style, every month.

"You totally over-deliver on your services. I know you spend a lot of time outside M’s appointments customizing exercises for her. We really appreciate you!" - Dawn N
I did 1 week of Virtual GK and Personal Training with Mandi. She walked me through each of the exercises and made sure I was doing it correctly. After just one week I feel better about diving as a GK, and I know how I can improve. I will definitely be doing some more sessions in the near future.

"I just had a super fun workout
with my trainer! Even though she was on her phone and I at home we still had fun and exercised.
If you need someone to motivate and workout with call Mandi at Marq Up Training. She's Fantastic! -Betsey H
"Crushed my first Dumbo Double Dare Challenge today!! So grateful for all the support and encouragement!
I ran with much more strength, endurance, and balance. I even shaved a full 10 minutes off my half marathon time, all thanks to my trainer Mandi!!
In 2019 I did a group training for IRS office workers on how to stay fit in the office and at their desks.
Do you work in an office? With over 10 years experience as a desk worker in an office, I know how to help you improve your fitness while you work! Work from home? Virtual training is also avilalbe. The home office is even harder to stay active than an office.
in 2021 ran a month-long fitness challenge for Badbelievers , an international support group for LGBTQ+ people from unsupportive religious backgrounds from all around the world.
Do you have a group or community you would like to motivate to become sustainably fit?
As a former figure skater and member of the Bremerton figure skating club, I was happy to work with my old club and young up-and-coming skaters to provide virtual team trainings for the club during the pandemic.
August 2024 Bremerton Sports Center hosted the very first Marq up Strength for Soccer Camp!
This is a space for the folks that work with me, help out with a lot of my camps, and provide support to Marq Up training missions, or provided the foundation of my learning and career. I am not responsible for their content, I can't guarantee they will always live up to my standards. But so far, they have done a great job and I can at least help you check them out!
Maryam Brown LMHC has provided peak performance mental coaching at Strength for Soccer Camp. She has some amazing resources available for athletes and anyone that needs their mind in the place to bring their best day in, day out!
I have been a Dugtik brand member since 2020, when Marq Up training really started to be my full time gig. They have brought together a wonderful community of soccer professionals, and helped us all "Plan to be great" giving us amazing tools like waterproof soccer planers, journals and pens. Check 'em out!
I am proud to be on the Decolonizing Fitness providers Directory. its important to have safe welcoming spaces for people of all races, genders, sexual orientations, and body types to exist in fitness. This is a difficult industry for those that don't fit the mold. But fitness is for everyone! its not about achieving a look, its just about being your best you! check out decolonizing fitness to find tips and advice on being inclusive, staying safe, and breaking the fitness mold.
I cannot say enough how grateful I am to have found a gym space that welcomes me and my clients, even though we are not gym members. AND is a nice welcoming homey gym space. Please check out Freemont Health Club. Online, and then maybe with me sometime in person!
Josh is a wonderful and very different yogi from myself. Pairing the two of us together was the perfect spectrum of a yoga retreat. He is up in Canada, but if you have a chance, check out his website and YouTube channel. If your visiting the right part of Canada, go to one of his classes! and watch for news on our next yoga retreat!
The most wonderful parts of my week are working as a goalkeeper coach and soccer coach with SeaTown FC. SeaTown is offering what US Soccer is missing- something that isn't pay to play! These wonderful former professional futbolers have set up an academy for low in come youth! We are looking for more girls to join. Check out when tryouts are!
If you ever wonder why I don't have weekday evening training times available, well its because I'm either with Sea Town or I am Strength Training the amazing Swimmers in Issaquah at IST. If your kid loves swimming and already knows all the strokes, have them try out and join the team and come see me at dryland training!
I would be a lot worse of a trainer, had I not lucked into one of the most AMAZING mentors ever. Ivi has been a performance coach for the Orlando Pride, Brighton Women's team, Brazil WNT and Ireland WNT. And a Consultant for FIFA! She is always doing amazing things to bring the soccer performance training community together and make us better coaches.
I would never have even thought of a career change from my office job to personal trainer, if it hadn't been for the opportunity to work for years as a volunteer, and then an occasional paid contractor yelling at photographers on the sidelines, for Seattle Reign FC. The team has come a long way from the days when me and a small group of volunteers would arrive 6 hrs early on game day to set up the field, the entry, the merch stands, help out on the sidelines and then clean up for an hour or so after the game. I am proud of what my efforts have helped to achieve, even if it means I'm back to being just a face in the stands again on most gamedays. If you haven't been to a game, come join me in the seats. (or say hi the 1-2 times a season I am still out on the sidelines.).
